There are two types of visas issued by the German Embassy in India. Individuals who wish to stay in Germany for up to 90 days, can apply for a Schengen visa. In Germany, Students are required to take a health insurance. Health care in Germany is delivered by a large network of well-trained and skilled medical doctors. Pharmaceuticals are provided in pharmacies called Apotheken, and may require a prescription from a physician.
